Singing Snowmen is a fun, easy way for students to practice their audiaition and discrimination skills through tonal patterns.

Game One – Students listen to two tonal patterns and decide if they are same or different.

Game Two – Students listen to a tonal pattern and classify it as major tonic (any combination of Do-Mi-So).

Game Three – Students listen to a tonal pattern and classify it as major tonic or dominant (any combination of Do-Mi-So or So-Fa-Re-Ti).

Game Four – Students listen to a tonal pattern sung on neutral syllables and associate the correct solfege to the pattern.

Game Five – Students listen to a tonal pattern performed and read the two patterns below to determine which pattern matches what they heard.
